Worship With Us
At Covenant Presbyterian Church Palo Alto, we are committed to providing a caring environment where individuals can grow in their faith and explore the richness of Christian life.
Join us for worship services on Sundays at 10:30 am, either online or in-person.
At Covenant, we celebrate and grow in our faith through Word, prayer, and song. Our services emphasize congregational participation in liturgy, prayers, and hymns. We share God’s word in challenging sermons, scripture based on the Common Lectionary, a Children’s Moment, and uplifting organ, choral, and congregational music.
Our services reflect many traditional Christian and Presbyterian elements, but we also enjoy surprises—sometimes trumpets or a choir anthem that gets an “Amen,” an offertory from the Covenant Ringers, colorful new sanctuary banners to enhance our worship environment, or maybe even a visit from an angel or a Biblical “bad guy” in a sermon.
And always, we share joys and concerns in prayer and go out into our daily lives, refreshed, restored, renewed by our common joy in worshiping together. and of course to honor the sacrifices and teachings of the Lord.
Visitors and guests are welcome! Please email the church office at email@example.com for the Zoom connection info.
Opportunities for Involvement
Ushers and Greeters
Would you enjoy being an active participant in our worship experience each Sunday? We are looking for new recruits to help extend our welcome each Sunday morning. Opportunities are available to help on a regular basis or to serve as a substitute.
The congregation members who attend worship in person enjoy gathering after the service in Fellowship Hall. Our fellowship time after service is an important part of our life as a church. The Deacons work with volunteers to occasionally host the coffee hour. The hosts make coffee and tea, set out sugar, cream, snacks etc., and clean-up afterward. If you are an individual who would like to participate in this way, your service is welcome. Or perhaps join a small group at Covenant to provide this service.
Our life together as a congregation is enriched by our prayers for one another and for people all over the world. Each week we hold in prayer people from a particular country in addition to individual prayers of concern or thanks from the congregation.
