Senior Connection, sponsored by Covenant, provides timely programming for Senior Adults ages 50+ in the greater Palo Alto Community. On Tuesday, September 27, Christa Gannon will be our speaker.
Christa is the founder of an organization called FLY, Fresh Lifelines for Youth, that began in Santa Clara County 15 years ago and now also serves San Mateo and Alameda Counties. This organization, with its staff of about 50, including about 6 caseworkers, helps young prisoners by teaching a 12-week class on law and by providing individual mentors for one year at a time. The mentors are trained in methodology and relentlessness. Christa’s own story of how she came to do this is most interesting.
Lunch is at Noon in Fellowship Hall and the program at 12:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Please RSVP to the Church Office so that we can plan for lunch.
