Covenant Welcomes Pastor Paula Kelso

We're pleased to welcome The Rev. Paula Kelso to her ministry at Covenant, which began, July 1, 2007. Rev. Kelso is designated our "Stated Supply Pastor" until we officially form a Pastor Nominating Committee. At that time, she will become our Interim Pastor while we go through the process of seeking a new permanent Pastor.

Pastor Kelso comes to us most recently from her year and a half as Interim Associate Pastor at Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church. She is not a stranger to us, however. She recently helped lead the Officers' Retreat for Deacons and Elders, and has known of Covenant since her husband, Rev. John Kelso, was our Interim Pastor before we called Pastor Isaiah.

Associate Pastor Alison Harrington

The Rev. Alison Harrington serves as our Associate Pastor and is active in all aspects of the church including preaching and working with our youth.

As the daughter of two Presbyterian ministers, Alison Harrington grew up in the church. Before she attended UC Berkeley where she earned her B.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies with an emphasis on U.S. Race Relations, she served the denomination both in Ethiopia and in Northern Ireland. After graduating from Berkeley she went on to become a community organizer in Contra Costa County with a grass roots community organization focused on the development of youth leadership for concrete community change. After working in the community for some time she attended San Francisco Theological Seminary to earn her Master’s of Divinity.
