Youth Connection

Past, Present, and Future

Our youth have been busy this past month.  On Good Friday they experienced a late evening program walking through the events of Good Friday.  On the Saturday before Easter they hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for children in our congregation and the Children's Center.  About 50 children attended with their parents.  On the Sunday following Easter they were treated to a presentation by Rachelle Reynoso, who shared her experiences as a Peace Corps worker in The Gambia.

Today after worship, April 29, they will participate in the annual CROP Walk in San Jose, and during May our Youth will be busy planning to lead Worship on June 3 and making preparations for their mission trip to New York in June.

Youth Connection

Youth Connection, Covenant's fellowship program for youth in grades 6 through high school, meets for fellowship, crafts, games, music, snacks, and activities like planning a Christmas play or a fund raising bake sale for Haiti relief.  A new youth ministry team of adults from the church - both parents and non-parents - will help Youth Connection plan outings "off campus" and other special events.  Youth also participate in Sunday worship as liturgists, musicians, and in creating banners and other art to enhance the Sanctuary.  For current programs, see News and Events.
