Adult Education Class - Jeremiah
Beginning on January 15 and continuing for five sessions through February 12, Rev. Margaret Boles will lead a video and discussion series about Jeremiah. Walter Brueggemann has been called one of the premier Old Testament scholars of our time. In this video series on the book of Jeremiah, Brueggemann will give us a closer look at this tumultuous period in the history of ancient Israel as it speaks to our own complicated times. Classes begin at Noon in the Fireside Room. Join us for this exploration of the Old Testament prophet Jeremiah.
Lenten Study
Beginning February 19 and continuing for seven Sundays through April 1, Palm Sunday, the Adult Education class will focus on a Lenten Study of the last week of Jesus’ life, encompassing some of Christianity’s most significant events. The study guide, Seven Days to Glory, by Blair Monie, is based on the Gospel of Mark and looks at each of these days to describe the importance of Jesus’ actions at the time and what they mean to Christians today.
If you’d like to get an advance look at the study guide, the booklets are available at store.pcusa.org for $4.50. Join us in the Fireside Room Sundays at Noon.
The Covenant Men's Group meets for breakfast, study, and fellowship on the third Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m. in the Fireside Room. Our study and discussions focus on Biblical subjects and on current readings and issues related to growing in faith as we experience our daily lives in the workplace, at home, and in the busy world and complex society we live in. This time of sharing concerns and opinions in a short time apart from our everyday lives gives us an opportunity to explore ideas, perspectives, and questions of faith with each other in a congenial and friendly setting. We invite you to join us.
Women’s Circle meetings meet on the second Tuesday of each month at the Manse. The Morning Circle will meet at 10:30 a.m., and the Evening Circle at 7:30 p.m. We welcome all women to join us for this time of study and fellowship.
