Children's ministry is a high priority in our church. We believe that children are not so much "the future of the church" as part of the church now!
The Church School at Covenant Presbyterian is an active place. Children meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. (except in the Summer). Children learn stories from the Bible and lessons from our faith through art, storytelling, music, and discussion. Other activities during the year include inter-generational activities during one or more of the seasons of the church year (Lent and Advent).
Our well-equipped nursery is staffed with two paid adult attendants, assisted by a church volunteer. They are on duty Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon during the school year and from 9:15 to 11:00 in the Summer.
Children are welcome to participate in all or part of our Sunday worship services with their parents. There is a special "Children's Moment" during the worship service, after which children younger than fourth grade may be dismissed to child care and older children have the option of remaining in worship or leaving for Youth Church services in the Fireside Room.
